Pete Brown is originally from sunny Orlando Florida. Growing up, he realized that there was a passion for food and entertaining inside him. Following this passion, Pete took his first job as a cook for a local country club. There, he learned a variety of unique cooking styles from the executive chef. As his career progressed, he took numerous positions dealing with both front and back of the house trying to learn every aspect of a modern day restaurant.
More experienced, Pete then worked for Chef Wolfgang Puck at his restaurant in Orlando expediting the kitchen. He learned that food on a plate is more than just food on a plate. Presentation was an important element of modern dining. While at Wolfgang Puck’s Pete worked with Nicolas Greafe, an inspirational manager and mentor. Nicolas and Pete teamed up at the Hard Rock Hotel inside Universal Studios Orlando sometime later. While at Hard Rock, he worked as a bartender for 4 years, learning how to develop different variations of drinks, styles of creating drink menus, and the art of being personable with his guests. He was also involved in creating delicious drink menus based on different themes and food pairings.
Pete, Tom, and Marc are more than just business partners. They all share the same passion for great food! When Tom was offered a position at famous steakhouse in Dallas Texas, he knew just the man to bring on board. Pete accepted a position at Pappas Brothers Steakhouse working for Tom in early 2006. Working at a 4 ½ star steakhouse was an awe inspiring experience. Never had Pete worked for an organization as focused on quality and service. The years at Pappas Brothers molded Pete into what he is today, passionate, and all about the guest.
